The number in this area allows you to verify that you have typed the search description correctly.
Each search description defines the characteristics of a particular viral search pattern. You can enter from 1 to 20 search descriptions for each virus definition.
Use this dialog box to add a new virus definition for a virus that infects data files. SAM searches data files for this virus.
With this menu choose the type of search string as Hex or ASCII.
Search string allows you to define a string used to identify a virus.
Type the name of the virus you are defining using 1 to 15 characters in this text entry area.
Clicking '>' displays the next higher-number search description for the current virus definition.
Clicking '-' deletes the current search description.
Clicking '<' displays the next lower-number search description for the current virus definition.
